Busy Beavers was established in September 2000 at Grogan, Ballycumber, Co Offaly with the objective of providing a stimulating, play oriented environment for the pre-school children of the immediate locality. The school operates in partnership with parents and the local community. Busy Beavers operates the ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education) programme for all eligible children and is affiliated to Early Childhood Ireland (formerly IPPA) and Offaly Childcare Committee. In October 2010 Busy Beaver's new purpose built facility was officially opened by an Taoiseach, Mr. Brian Cowen T.D. The facility currently employs four people, all of whom are from the surrounding areas and are fully qualified. Busy Beavers regularly caters for students seeking work experience.

We offer WordPress.com Starter and Advanced Courses for people who are interested in creating their own blog or website, or would like to learn how to update an existing WordPress based website. The courses are of particular interest to start-ups, small businesses, non-profit organisations, clubs and groups, or anybody who does not have the resources to hire a web master, and would like to get a web presence and be able to update their website by themselves. In our 4-hour WordPress.com Starter Course participants learn how to change themes and widgets, and how to create posts on their blog and static pages like on a normal website. After the course you will be able to upload photos to your posts and pages, create galleries and slide shows from them and create a navigation bar, categories and tags. You will also learn how to change personal settings, allow or disallow comments and how to fight spam. In the 4-hour WordPress.com Advanced Course you will learn a little more about spam, how to upload a blog icon and gravatar, how to synchronise your WordPress site with social media such as an existing personal Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn account, and how to insert a ‘Follow us on Facebook’, ‘Follow me on Twitter’ or ‘My LinkedIn Profile’ button in your website for online marketing. You will learn how to embed YouTube videos, how to create a customised navigation bar using pages & categories, how to specify a new front page as a landing page on your blog and how to create a contact form. What is Fish Smarty? Fish Smarty is what we did not have when we were children, an online educational platform that is meant to help parents and educators to make their kids smarter.
