Higgins Motorpark was founded in 1912. Originally set up as a Ford franchise selling Fordson tractors, the company has now evolved to a multi-franchise operation located on the outskirts of Galway City and is Irelands oldest Ford dealership.
Motorpark hold the franchise for Ford, Volvo and Mitsubishi as well as the aftersales franchise for BMW, MINI and Toyota. The company employs over 100 people over three locations. Henderson Motors in Sligo was acquired by the company in 2008 and in 2010, Athlone Nissan and Fiat was acquired by Motorpark. Henderson Motorpark and Motorpark Athlone are now successful main Ford dealers in Sligo and Athlone respectively.
Motorpark are serving Galways motoring community for over 98 Years. We have proved to our customers we will be here for them when they need us and they can place their trust in us.
We have made continuous investment in the motor industry, acquiring Henderson Motors in Sligo in 2008 and Athlone Nissan and Fiat in Athlone in 2010 while other car dealerships in the area closed down. Motorpark maintained all employees in both companies maintaining employment in the area and continued service to Ford customers of Sligo, Roscommon and Leitrim.
Motorpark have always invested in the best technology and training for all staff members as recommended by the SIMI and the franchises. We pride ourselves in the best trained staff with the most up to date equipment bringing the best possible service to our customers. We employ one of only two BMW Master Technicians in the country, three Ford Master Technicians.
Motorpark was the first Toyota Aftersales dealer appointed outside the Dealer Network.
Motorpark will continue to build its reputation as the West of Irelands leading car dealership and look forward to 100 Years as Ford dealers in Ireland.
