Since then, Supermac’s has gone from strength to strength with a turnover well in excess of€82m and well over 2500 employees. With over 90 stores throughout Ireland along with aggressive expansion plans, Supermac’s is looking forward to an exciting future! Supermac’s was founded by Pat McDonagh, the Company’s Managing Director and a school teacher by profession. After five years of teaching in Kilrickle, Co. Galway, Pat spotted an opportunity in Ireland’s quick service restaurant business and decided to pursue it. Since then Supermac’s has become the success story of the Irish restaurant industry. Much of the success of Supermac’s can be attributed to the company’s intuitive understanding of Irish consumers’ tastes and preferences. Supermac’s is attributed as the pioneer of such Irish delicacies as the “curry chips” and the “snack box”.

The Cheese Pantry

The Cheese Pantry

104 Upper Drumcondra Road, Dublin ,
The Cheese Pantry started life as an idea that owners Karen and Aidan had after moving to Drumcondra in Dublin, Ireland. The historic building which houses The Cheese Pantry is the last remaining Youkstetter butcher shop mentioned in James Joyce’s world famous writing “Ulysses”, The building in which the Cheese Pantry now calls home was built back in 1903 by the Youkstetters who had settled here from Germany and proceeded to open three butchers in North Dublin all have been destroyed by developments but 104 Upper Drumcondra remains, with original ornate tiling outside and inside the store we have tried tirelessly to keep the old feel of the original shop but to add a bit of a modern touch to it. The Cheese Pantry employs the talents of Head Chef David, Angela and some very dedicated talented staff. From these humble beginnings we have blossomed into Drumcondra’s award-winning Restaurant Wine and Cheese store. Come along to The Cheese Pantry, have a great coffee, some good food and you never know who you might be sitting beside from ex-Taoiseach to TV personalities or even presidential candidates.
