The Cheese Pantry
104 Upper Drumcondra Road,
Dublin
,
The Cheese Pantry started life as an idea that owners Karen and Aidan had after moving to Drumcondra in Dublin, Ireland. The historic building which houses The Cheese Pantry is the last remaining Youkstetter butcher shop mentioned in James Joyce’s world famous writing “Ulyssesâ€, The building in which the Cheese Pantry now calls home was built back in 1903 by the Youkstetters who had settled here from Germany and proceeded to open three butchers in North Dublin all have been destroyed by developments but 104 Upper Drumcondra remains, with original ornate tiling outside and inside the store we have tried tirelessly to keep the old feel of the original shop but to add a bit of a modern touch to it.
The Cheese Pantry employs the talents of Head Chef David, Angela and some very dedicated talented staff.
From these humble beginnings we have blossomed into Drumcondra’s award-winning Restaurant Wine and Cheese store.
Come along to The Cheese Pantry, have a great coffee, some good food and you never know who you might be sitting beside from ex-Taoiseach to TV personalities or even presidential candidates.
