Institute of Technology, Tallaght formerly Regional Technical College, Tallaght, located in Tallaght, South Dublin in Ireland.HistoryThe institute was established in 1992, at that time the final new Regional Technical College opened in Ireland.In 2005 the institute adopted the abbreviated title of ITT Dublin, to differentiate it from IT Tralee; this does not change the legal name which continues to be "Institute of Technology, Tallaght" as confirmed in the Institutes of Technology Act, 2006.Faculties and CoursesThe institute offers a variety of courses, including Higher Certificates and Bachelors Degrees as well as Postgraduate courses in the schools of accountancy, business, computing, engineering, humanities and sciencePlease note that graduates of TA321 (Pharmaceutical Science - NFQ Level 8) or TA314 (Pharmaceutical Science - NFQ Level 7) do not qualify to register with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland as practicing pharmacists. Only graduates from the approved NFQ Level 8 Pharmacy courses of RC005 (The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland), TR072 (Trinity College, Dublin) and CK703 (University College, Cork) may successfully apply for membership with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
