Cork College of Commerce is a college that was established in December 1908 in Cork, Ireland. Originally named the "School of Commerce and Domestic Science".PurposeSince 1991, when the last of its secondary school students finished their Leaving Certificate examinations, the College changed its focus, running both full-time day courses, and a night school. Locus, Cork Guild of Furniture Designers announces their 3rd Exhibition Locus brings their 3rd exhibition to Cork this August. Locus is widely known for showcasing Cork’s finest furniture designers and makers of contemporary and traditional woodwork. Locus itself is a guild of Cork based furniture designers & makers established with the aim of promoting the work of its members and raising awareness of bespoke design led furniture with an absolute emphasis on quality and value. It’s members uphold these values by designing and making beautifully crafted furniture that its owner can enjoy forever. This year’s exhibition runs from 6-29 September and is taking place at a Cork City centre to be announced. There will be an exciting programme of events at the exhibition including maker talks, guided tours, VIP opening night, etc. Exhibitors at the exhibition this year are Anthony Aylward, Victoria Breathnach Furniture Design, Mark Donnelly Wood Design, Martin Horgan Designs, Horizon Furniture, Imago Design Studio, Eamonn O’Sullivan, Ronan Power, Raymond Quill and Fergus Somers.
