Eleana has worked for many years as a Montessori teacher in Dublin. She is fully trained by St. Nicholas Montessori College, Ireland and is first aid qualified also. UCD Student Centre caters for the needs of a large and diverse student body and acts as a centre for non-academic services vital to student life. The centre, which was funded by the students of UCD, at all times has the interests of the student body at heart and continually strives to provide students with a rounded, high quality student experience. At its heart, the Student Centre was designed to provide a break out space for students to relax, which is reflected in the spacious atrium and concourse area which lies at the centre of the building. This space is furnished with comfortable couches, allowing students to relax amidst the hussle and bussle of campus life. The large concourse area also doubles as space for wine receptions, lunch time concerts and many more events. The Student Centre itself provides an extremely versatile space to run a wide array of events and functions ranging anything from small intimate meetings of 5 -8 people up to conferences of 600 people. The Student Centre is also used to host other events such as conferrings, full scale musical productions, banquet dinners and examinations for a maximum capacity of 240 people. Housed within the Student Centre are a large number of services including a medical centre and a pharmacy as well as a Ticket Master and a small kiosk. As regards food outlets, the Student Centre contains the excellent Café Brava, which provides a self-service buffet offering a wide variety of food from across the world as well as offering full catering services. In addition there is the Grind sandwich bar, which offers students a healthy and convenient option throughout the day
