I Love You Ireland Tours

I Love You Ireland Tours

People don't take trips . . . trips take people I Love You Ireland Tours was created by an Irish backpacker which is the main reason these trips stand out during your stay here. We try to avoid tourist crowds and the emphasis is always that the journey matters just as much as the destination. The concept of these tours was born out of a genuine desire to give people a real experience in Ireland as opposed to travelling around on a Coach all day to the same places with 30/50 other tourists. Many tour operators offer a genuine, local experience like ourselves but really, we don’t see how that’s possible when travelling with 30 other tourists. We travel off the beaten track at times and do so in a small group (max 6/7 people). We go in search of more “genuine” experiences while ensuring that you see the more visited/famous attractions. Think of this like a Roadtrip in comfort, with a group of friends. Every trip with us is intended to be completely different than the one previous and the idea is to completely immerse you in Ireland and it’s culture. With the “relaxed” and more unpredictable nature of these trips in mind, We ask our fellow roadtrippers to take a relaxed approach to the itinerary and trust the local guides instinct. The minimum age on all tours is 18 years and in general the majority of our passengers are aged between18 – 35 although there is no maximum age and as long as you are reasonably fit and have a good sense of fun, we are certain you will have a good time.
Sacred Springs & Ancient Places

Sacred Springs & Ancient Places

Gary Branigan is my name and I will be your experienced Guide. I am a father, husband, historian and author. I will guide you to the sacred sites that have been very important to the Irish for millennia, explaining the importance and relevance of each, in addition to the traditional practices and rituals that are carried out. You will visit ancient places of veneration, such as Holy Wells and Rag Trees, ruined Monastic and Ecclesiastical sites, Fairy Forts, Megaliths, High Crosses, and royal inauguration sites ...to name but a few. I have studied, documented, and re-located many hidden, lost, and forgotten ancient sacred sites over the years, and can bring you to experience these special places first hand. With personal and intimate tours of no more than three persons, time is not an issue and you can spend as little or as much time at each place as you wish.
Moone Boy Ireland

Moone Boy Ireland

Irish Lakelands, Boyle ,
Hollywood’s new golden boy Chris O’Dowd brings his childhood to life in a new family comedy for Sky 1 HD. Sky 1 HD’s commitment to homegrown comedy continues with an original production, fresh from the mind of rising star Chris O’Dowd (The IT Crowd, Bridesmaids, Friends With Kids). Moone Boy is a semi-autobiographical six-parter, adapted from Chris’s 2010 comedy short for Sky 1 HD’s Little Crackers, based on his experiences growing up in a small Irish town. Filmed in Dublin, Co Wicklow, Co Roscommon and O’Dowd’s own hometown of Boyle, Moone Boy follows the adventures of the youngest member of the Moone family. A small boy with a big imagination, 11-year-old Martin (David Rawle) is doing his best to survive life with his chaotic family – mum Debra (Deirdre O’Kane), dad Liam (Oscar© nominee Peter McDonald) and his loudmouth older sisters Trisha (Aoife Duffin), Fidelma (Clare Monnelly) and Sinead (Sarah White). Luckily for him, he’s got a great friend to rely on for company, Sean Murphy (O’Dowd). However, Sean isn’t your normal childhood friend, which might have something to do with the fact that he's completely imaginary. Together, Martin and Sean negotiate the various obstacles of the day-to-day life of an 11-year-old, whether they be his sisters’ unending pranks, school bullies or the pressures of being an altar boy. Martin isn’t alone in having a pal that only he can see – his school friend Padriac (Ian O’Reilly) has his own made-up mate, ‘legendary wrestler’ Crunchy Danger Haystacks (Johnny Vegas). Moone Boy also features an unforgettable appearance by British comedy legend Steve Coogan and a variety of animations from the Oscar-nominated studio Cartoon Saloon (The Secret of Kells) as Martin’s regular fantastical daydreams are brought to life through these magical doodles. Moone Boy Ireland is a Tourism and Information Guide to the area around Boyle Co Roscommon Ireland where the Sky TV series Moone Boy was filmend and based in.
