Ballybay Recreation Centre has now re-opened under knew management. David McGregor of Era-Fit Training is the new manager of the newly opened Leisure Centre. The centre has a long and successful history in the town of Ballybay and David would like to see its old success revitalised and bring back what was, one of the best indoor facilities in County Monaghan. The centre can cater for a number of sports, classes, programmes and activities. It is open every week day from 5pm until 10.pm and at the weekends from 10am to 4pm. In Ireland over 2.9 million members have recognized the value of credit unions, and have savings approaching €11.9 billion with their credit unions. There are over 9,200 active volunteers involved in the movement, and over 3,500 people are employed (ILCU – Jan 2010).
