A place where I can offer you the things I love to create if you love them too.
I love to create beautiful unique craft pieces. My main interest is in creating jewelry pieces, and currently I am particularly focused on earrings and necklaces.
I like to use primarily wood, resin, copper (and assorted other ingredients).
Wood – it’s a perfect material to work with. Nice, soft, thin strips of wood are carefully filed and polished. They are varnished for finish and for protection. The soft shine of varnish nicely exposes the grain of the wood and gives the finish an appearance of depth.
Resin – a wonderful material which I use to feature the subject in the tiny wooden frame. When domed, resin magnifies the subject slightly to give a clearer view. Sometimes I like to file the edges of the surface of it to get more variation in reflectiveness.
Copper – a material which gives so many possibilities! You can get so many textures and forms from working it, and it can be bought in many variety of forms such as meshes, filaments, tubes, plates, and so on. I’m often using it in the form of wires of different sizes. Thin sheets of copper can be scratched, polished, pressed, bashed with the hammer, cut out...endless possibilities. It's loads of fun finding the many interesting effects of shine and texture you can achieve.
I like to try new things though as I will never know what I might enjoy making unless I try it out! This is my shop, this is where you will find my finest work, I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.
