Welcome to Athboy Live. We are a non-profit charity festival. This is our first year for Athboy live. Our festival will be held over the May Bank Holiday. Our festival will combine music and a family oriented weekend. This year the charity choosen is The Irish Cancer Society. Its amazing how so many people knows someone affected by cancer.

The Irish Writers’ Centre has long been a hub of literary activity in Dublin, supporting established and aspiring writers throughout Ireland from its base at the heart of Dublin's cultural quarter. It is a non-profit organisation run by strong women and strange men. It aims to promote the literature and writers in Ireland. The Centre was founded in 1987 and since it was doors opened in 1991, it has welcomed many award winning writers through its doors, including Nobel, Costa, Man Booker, IMPAC, and Pulitzer Prize winners. It has also served as an important platform for breakthrough talent, with many young writers giving their first public readings here. Through a diverse programme of creative writing workshops, seminars, lectures and readings, the Centre nurtures emerging talent and fosters relationships between writers and their Irish audience. Our creative writing students benefit from the guidance and insight of successful poets, novelists, and short story writers who themselves have been published. Many writing groups meet at the Centre to exchange ideas and develop their writing, and the staff run a monthly book club, where the public are invited to come and be part of our thriving literary community. Our doors are always open and the Centre itself is a peaceful sanctuary for writers to escape the bustling city that rumbles outside.

**Membership open- please contact us if you would like to play in the Orchestra.** The County Kildare Orchestra was founded in February 1998 and is committed to developing and promoting a love of classical music whilst aspiring to an excellence in performance. The Orchestra's repertoire spans the great musical eras from the Baroque (Bach and Handel), the Classical (Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven) to the Romantics (Schumann, Bruch and Elgar). From symphonies and concertos, the Orchestra has also performed highlights from Rossini and Verdi in addition to waltzes and polkas from Strauss. Whatever we perform, we are always dedicated to musicality of the highest degree, and ensuring that everyone leaves our performances with a smile on their face! ** Membership currently open- please contact us if you would like to play with the Orchestra. Standard Grade 5/6 upwards. Particularly interested in hearing from you if you play brass or strings.

Le Cheile provides childcare to children from 6 mths to pre-school age, from 8:30am - 5pm, Monday - Friday, full calendar year.
