Integration and Support Unit - ISU Waterford
The ISU is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) who began humanitarian operations for Refugees, Asylum Seekers and other Migrants in Waterford in 2006. We operate a Drop-In service five days a week with additional services and supports provided through a range of Education and Training Programmes, Advocacy, Outreach work and a specialist information service.
We currently have over 1,500 clients registered for services. We have an integrated approach to our services, linking language and training with employment needs and community needs through local peer advocates. We provide services which cater for holistic approaches which take into account cultural needs and more. Our work here is based on core principles of Promoting Basic Human Right, Respect to All, Social Inclusion and Integration.
The ISU is the only organisation operating in the Southeast of Ireland solely dedicated to working with Asylum Seekers, Refugees and other Migrants to assist in the integration process.
