THE THREE DAYS OF PUCK FAIR The town of Killorglin celebrated Puck Fair 400+ in 2013.(At least 400 years old) Puck Fair can traced back to a charter from 1613 by King James I granting legal status to the existing fair in Killorglin. Over the three days of Puck there are Lots of Stalls,Horse Fair, Cattle Fair,Birds Bazaar Amusements,Fun Workshops,Live Music during the day as well as Open Air Concerts at night ...Plus hours of Free Family Street Entertainment each day and lots, lots more. DAY1 GATHERING DAY Starts at Dawn - Horse Fair begins in the outskirts of town. In the town,Traders set up their stalls in Library Place and along the streets of Killorglin for the next three days. The Traditional Parade and Coronation of King Puck where he is crowned by The Queen of Puck. King Puck will reign over the town of Killorglin for the 3 days of Puck Fair. DAY 2 FAIR DAY Cattle Fair in the town of Killorglin. DAY 3 SCATTERING DAY The last day of Puck. After the parade,King Puck is lowered down from his Puck Fair stand and his crown is removed.
