Transmission Rooms Recording Studio, Ireland
Nestled between the hills and lakes of rural County Longford, Transmission
Rooms provides a truly captivating creative environment, free from
disturbance or distraction, where performers can relax and record at an
idyllic pace, but within 2km of village life and amenities.
Housed in an 18th century extended barn, Transmission Rooms operates both
modern digital Protools (mac) and 24 Track analogue recording formats. The
1200sq live space and 350sq control room provide the space and freedom to
perform and record creatively, the 40sq booth for isolation or vocal
overdubs in comfort.
Our large microphone collection, both modern and vintage, contains AKG,
Neumann, Shure, EHX, SE Electronics, EV, Audio Technica etc. and includes
the actual Neumann U47 and U87 microphones owned by John Lennon, which he
used for the recording of the now legendary Imagine album.
Outboard and preamps from Universal Audio, Focusrite, JoeMeek, TLA Audio,
MXR, Yamaha, Roland etc provide hands on processing for the captured sounds,
whilst plug ins by Waves, SSL, Universal Audio, Focusrite etc are there for
those who prefer to process "in the box".
A comprehensive selection of guitars, keyboards, percussion and oddities,
Gibson, Rickenbacker, Korg, Fender, Yamaha, Ludwig, Ovation, Pearl, Moog,
Tanglewood, Roland, Ensoniq etc are on hand to add to your sonic palette.
The main live room features a Kawai 7ft Grand Piano and Hammond M3 Drawbar
Tonewheel organ, and a collection of amplifiers, Ampeg, Selmer, Marshall,
Musicman, Orange, HiWatt, Vox, Fender, JMI, Roland etc plus stomp boxes
galore!!.
All rooms have natural daylight and views to the surrounding countryside.
Throughout your time at Transmissions Rooms the cottage adjacent to the
studio provides a completely separate relaxation area, with lounge, kitchen,
bathroom facilities and accommodation for up to 6 people, should your
project be residential. In house catering can be provided by prior
