The facility boasts 17 bays (10 indoor) including a Pro are and 7 outdoor grass tees and a practice bunker. The outfield is over 300 yards long and has 5 target greens along with other targets. The club is very active and boasts over 200 members of all ages, just off the N8 and beside the local GAA grounds, the Fr. Breen park. . We've 4 all weather courts, a 5th is under construction, so there's plenty of tennis for all. Abbeyleix Tennis Club are currently looking for new members to begin this new membership year. We invite people of all ages who are interested in playing to come down on the club nights and participate in some social tennis. Whether you have played before or not, ATC will cater for all abilities and encourage you to sample the facilities before committing to a membership. Social tennis for beginners takes place every Wednesday night from 7.30pm and some coaching is provided. If you have played before and wish to get back playing some friendly matches you can do so every Monday night at 7,30pm. Secondary school students also have a club night every Friday at 7,30pm whereby a few friendly matches will be played and coaching provided. Where possible we will provide you with a loan of a racket on these nights. ATC also host a calendar of competitive tennis, details of which can be found in the clubhouse and on our website. For primary school children, 12 weeks of fun tennis begins in June.
