We provide information and advice to people interested in volunteering and to organisations looking for volunteers. We advertise vacancies, advise people on their options and help organisations support their volunteers. Sligo Volunteer Centre is a member of Volunteer Ireland. We are one of 23 Volunteer Centres around Ireland.

Our little band of merry writers meet every second Thursday, and over tea and chocolate biscuits we talk about our scribbling. Everyone reads a litte of what they've written, and then some creative soul challenges the group to a kind of write- off, and home we go and write something linked to that topic. Some writers turn up at the following meeting with their homework done, and some go off on a tangent, and that's ok too. Anything goes in this group, as long as it's legal, and clean. We are always looking for new members to keep the group flowing, so come along and see if we don't make you laugh. Writing is meant to be fun, so no stuffy nonsense in this group, no editors, no censorship and egos are strictly left at the door.

The Maynooth Kilcock Lions Club was formed in 1981 as the 77th Lions Club in Ireland. Lions International presented the Charter to the then President Mr. Jack Mc Ilhenney in Newbridge in 1981. Lions are Ordinary People doing amazing Things. Maynooth Kilcock Lions club generally has twenty to thirty members and they are representative of a cross-section of the community within which they serve.
