Half Day Thursday Productions
The name Half Day Thursday Productions comes from the time when business's closed for a half day which happened to be a Thursday. This included Hardware,Grocery, Drapery Shops etc. The staff worked a five & a half day week. This all changed in 1970 when it was agreed that staff would work a 5 day week. Monday was the day that was chosen to slose business's so the working week ran from Tuesday to Saturday. So, this is where the name derives from.It is the intention of this new and innovative ensemble to promote and encourage people from all walks of life to get involved in drama, whether it is acting, reading plays, make-up etc If yo wish to get involved ring 087 6411711 or leave a message on our Facebook page. We will be staging John Millington Synge's classic play Riders to the Sea as part of the Shorelines Festival in September.
