Based in the Heart of Ireland and with offices in Dublin, Good Company Productions was founded in 2004 by Producer/Director Evan Chamberlain and has steadily built itself into a highly successful Independent Production Company with output immediately identified with popular and award-winning programming, light entertainment, reality, sport, music and travel, and now also emerging into digital media. Evan himself has an abundanceof hands on experience of all aspects of television production and has succeeded in bringing together a group of very experienced and very gifted researchers, coordinators, directors, editors and producers and offers a fresh and creative approach to making television. The emphasis in Good Company Productions is on creating new fresh formats and this has been achieved over the last 8 years. Series such as the ground breaking IFTA Nominated Farmers’ Reality Series 'Feirm Factor' for TG4, the fresh approach to mixing Sport and Music in the aptly named series 'Pitch Perfect' for TG4, the Award Winning'Higher Ground' Entrepreneurs Series for RTE and the long running nostalgia Series 'Mí na Meala' (Honeymoon) have all shown that Good Company can create formats to match the very best. Of course Good Company Productions are most well known for their collaboration with Award Winning Travel Presenter Hector Ó hEochagáin with Series in Africa, Australia, the UK and Canada but the company has also established itself as a maker of quality Sports Programmes as can be seen from‘Play it Again Sam‘ and ‘Sam‘ both hour long documentaries broadcast on TG4. I was raised, educated and continued working in the Rathgar/Rathmines area. After attending Gonzaga, I studied psychology in UCD and received a masters in social work from Trinity. A decade working with vulnerable communities, most recently as a Child Protection Social Worker, has given me hands on experience of the tough circumstances affecting families across our locality at present. Ten years of volunteering as a Scout Leader at Lesson Park Scout Group have shown me that it takes involvement to build a community and hard work to make things better. It is now time to contribute more. I do not come from a political background. No one in my family has ever been involved in politics. I have decided to run now because I believe in these three things: 1. Smart planning of services and public facilities can improve our quality of life and strengthen our community. 2. Local businesses should be better supported by the Local Council. 3. Transparency and sustainable growth are needed more than ever as our city responds to changing times. Tangerine was set up in 1999 and now hosts 9 spacious offline / online edit suites, all of which are High Definition / 2K. The heart of the facility is based on an Avid UNITY system. This allows all the edit suites easy access to any shared projects, media and graphics, also houses all source machines from Mini DV and XDCAM to Digibeta and HD-CAM. This configuration of hardware, software and access allows Tangerine to provide effective, quiet working spaces for its clients and operators in all of its edit suites. Based close to Donnybrook - on Appian Way in Ranelagh - the facility has on-site parking and client wifi. It is located near shops, restaurants, bars and cafes and close to the luas line. The suites are large rooms in a listed Georgian building.
