DCU Gymnastics and Trampolining Club

DCU Gymnastics and Trampolining Club, is a student based club within Dublin City University. We cater for trampolining and gymnastics enthusiasts alike, from beginner to elite level, with 4 training sessions available per week: Monday - 8-10pm Wednesday - 1-4pm* Thursday - 8-10pm Friday - 8-10pm* *These sessions are mainly used when they are in demand. As a sports team we compete in several big competitions throughout the year these include: -Intervarsities -SSTO (Scottish Student Trampolining Open) -ISTO (Irish Student Trampolining Open/BIGGEST AND BEST COMPETITION OF THE YEAR!) -Dublin Open -Munster Open -RGB/35's (DCU Vs Maynooth) The events in which we compete in are: Trampolining (huge surprise, I know), Tumbling, DMT (double mini trampoline) and Synchro. Never fear, the social life of a tramp is a guaranteed delight, with drinking games, costume themed nights and general banter. The first chance for you to taste the tramp lifestyle is at "Tramp Night" held in October with UCD, Trinity and Maynooth. Following this you can come along to an "Intensive Training Weekend" in Cavan, along with UCD, Trinity and Maynooth again! This is a weekend not to miss, between learning and getting those routines down, meeting new people and just the drunken fun which awaits! Throughout the year, there will be nights out, movie nights and charity events. These will involve other clubs too, no harm in being super social! The two chosen charities we will fundraise for this year are: -Pieta House, Preventing Suicide and Self Harm -Aware On this page you can expect updates, on events, competitions and just general info on whats going on week to week! If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask any one of our committee members! (Warning: Say anything too shameful and you will be quoted from that day on. FACT. ;) )
