Vedic Art Ireland

Vedic Art Ireland

Vedic Art is an intuitive painting method, that allows you to connect with your heart and let your inner world manifest on an empty canvas. You don't need any previous experience or artistic ability to benefit - the process of connecting with your creativity is stimulated by 17 principles that work on a deep subconscious level and let your inner artist come out. The 17 principles come from the ancient Indian teachings, the Vedas. The ancient Vedic scribes from India tell us that just as a seed knows it will become a flower so too, we have within all knowledge of ourselves and life itself within us. The principles are guides both in art and in life; they teach us a science of life and natural laws which exist in all of us but are not yet activated. Taking part in a Vedic Art course is a wonderful way for you to connect with your creativity, reduce stress and liberate the potential for new ideas. Workshops are open to all who are interested or feel inspiration to the inner realization process. Whether or not you have previous experience in painting doesn't make difference. Vedic Art is suitable as a further training for professionals in the creative arts, while for amateurs it can become a way of life, and for anyone become an alternative route to studying visual arts. Dublin Unitarian Church

Dublin Unitarian Church

112 St. Stephen's Green West, Dublin ,
We are a vibrant and lively congregation of people of all backgrounds and ages who worship together in a beautiful 19th century church on St. Stephen’s Green in the centre of Dublin city. The church was built as a Unitarian church in 1863 but Unitarians in Dublin, ( known at different times as Non Conformists / Dissenters / Presbyterians) are descendants of several congregations which had 'Meeting Houses' in the city since the mid-1600's. Our bond of union is religious sympathy, not the declaration of a creed-bound faith. In the love of truth and in the spirit of Christ, we unite for the worship of God and the service of our fellows. The following text has been the motto of our church for many years: "Love is the doctrine of this church, the quest of truth is its sacrament and service is its prayer. To dwell together in peace. To seek knowledge in freedom. To serve humankind in fellowship to the end that all souls shall grow in harmony with the divine. This do we covenant with each other and with God." The church is an eco-congregation and has been awarded a Fairtrade Certificate. On our website at www.dublinunitarianchurch.org, you can find details of our services, a map to help you find us, a history of our church and of Unitarianism in Dublin, information about our fundraising campaign for the restoration of the church organ and links to other useful sites. Details on our rites of passage services – baptisms, weddings and funerals – are also available.
Community project for people with disabilities in dublin

Community project for people with disabilities in dublin

n/a, Dublin ,
My name is Sean McNicholas. I am from Lucan, Co.Dublin and am 20 years old. I am appalled by the lack of societies and clubs in Dublin and Ireland for people with disabilities.People with disabilities have as much right to have fun, meet new people, make new friends and feel part of our community as everybody else. Today I had a meeting with the revenue and have asked about the possibility of creating a new charity. I hope to have a community service once a week in Dublin early next year 2012 and to have expanded to counties all over Ireland by the beginning of 2014. The cost of running a charity like this over 10 counties is 500000 a year. However the revenue have given me until Tuesday, November 1st to get as many volunteers to help with the running of this charity. If your interested in helping out please email me on sean.mcnicholas@hotmail.com with your name telephone number and email address
