Basketball for ages of 11-18. Gerry Smith has being training basketball for a long time in Castleblayney and once played himself. He is a well thought of basketball coach although he comes across as loud sometimes he is a very dedicated coach who now has a helping hand with Michael Murphy who also played before and has helped in bringing younger teams forward and has helped Gerry a lot over the past few years. Both coaches have brought teams to All-Ireland levels and some have succeeded in winning. Anyone who has played for these coaches would always speak highly of them both and how basketball has impacted on their life's.
