What we do
The Schoolbag is an online school supplies, art / crafts, hobby and gift supplier. It is our aim to provide an affordable, good quality product, coupled with efficient, excellent service. We supply to schools, Montessoris, crèches, scout groups, summer camps and other children’s groups. We also supply to the individuals for home crafts, hobby and gifts and back to school necessities.
We supply our classroom / group art and craft core products in a range of classroom packs depending on the customers’ needs; this ensures our customers receive the vital, high usage items within the budget available to them, as there are three levels to choose from. We also provide the creative ideas, materials and instructions to cover the seasonal and occasional crafts e.g. Christmas and Valentine’s Day. Our creative packs are in line with the educational strands of the primary school curriculum at an affordable price. This will save time in planning art activities as well as buying unnecessary bulk amounts, this also saves in terms of costs.
We carry a wide variety of craft hobby and gifts from the Clara felt animal range, the Fat Cat cross stitch range, Hama beads, Shrinkles sets creating key-rings, fridge magnets etc., Art Foil, Pin It, to Junior Sequins Art and many more to choose from - endless hours of creative fun to be had.
We also carry a full range of schoolbags, lunch boxes, pencil cases, copies, folders and general stationery for returning to school. All this can be found in one online store.
Meet the people behind the Schoolbag
The Schoolbag has been recently co-founded by two Waterford women Rose Walsh and Jean Collins.
Rose is a qualified teacher with over 20 years of experience. Rose brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the schoolbag in terms of the primary school curriculum, the challenges facing teachers regarding art and craft curricular planning, and the solutions to meet their needs.
Jean has a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management. Jean has a strong background in retail and sales with a total of 13 years’ experience, 6 of which were at store management level. Jean brings hands on experience in sales, customer service, operations, systems management and people management.
Rose and Jean are both parents so they understand the needs and demands on parents of young children. The Schoolbag.ie store has been developed to create an easily accessible, secure, convenient and positive experience for every customer.
