Your hostess Maureen McGowan has been welcoming guests to her Award Winning magnificently situated luxury bungalow near Grange, Sligo, for over twenty five years. You will receive a homely Traditional Irish welcome on your arrival and Maureen holds a Fáilte Ireland Irish Welcome Award for her outstanding hospitality. Traditional home cooking is a specialty at Mount Edward Lodge.
A wide range of Sligo attractions and activities are available to keep you busy during your stay, which include Lissadell House, WB Yeats' Grave, Glencar Waterfall and many others.
If you are more adventurous why not try some hiking up Benbulben mountain or Knocknarea or try some of the various beach activities around Sligo - Surfing and Kitesurfing, Fishing and Boating. You could also try some horse riding on the local beaches or on some of the quiet country lanes in the area or try your hand at swinging at some of the Award Winning Golf Courses all within easy reach. Streedagh Beach is only 2km away, and beaches at Mullaghmore and Bundoran are only a couple of minutes drive where you will find some of the best surf on the northwest coast, or else why not enjoy a quiet relaxing walk on the golden strand.
