The County Sligo Agricultural Show was established in Riverstown in 1994, taking over from the show which always had been held in Sligo town. The main organiser to get it up and running in Riverstown was the late Paddy Kenny who was supported by the local Creamery Committee. In 2001, there was an outbreak of Foot and Mouth disease and as a result the show had to be cancelled. After that, cattle were not allowed at the show until 2009, so and every year since then we have been expanding and rebuilding our classes.

Viewmount Farm is a specialised dairy unit located at Barnasragh Sligo on the Atlantic Coast of Ireland. Owned by the McGee Family, we milk 55 high yielding, pure bred Holstein cows. Visit our website
