Papa Johns - Roscommon

Papa Johns - Roscommon

athlone road, Roscommon ,
In 2004, Pat McDonagh, founder of Supermac's, spotted an opportunity in the Irish market for a high quality, traditional pizza offering. Having experienced Papa John's on business trips to the U.S., Pat was confident Papa John's was the only pizza he wanted to serve in his restaurants and thus a partnership was born between Papa John's and Supermac's. Today, Supermac's holds the master franchise for Papa John's on the island of Ireland and to date has opened over 40 Papa John's outlets within existing Supermac's stores around the country. Today, Papa John's is the recognized leader of the pizza category and now owns or franchises more than 3,500 restaurants in 30 countries around the world. Papa John's was introduced to the Supermacs Roscommon branch in 2009, since then our quality of pizzas has risen. Papa Johns Roscommon offers a range of delicious pizzas and amazing deals to cater for families of all sizes. We provide make and bake parties which gives children the opportunity to make their own pizzas.

Roscommon

County Roscommon (Irish: Contae Ros Comáin) is one of the twenty-six traditional counties of the Republic of Ireland and one of the thirty-two traditional counties in the island of Ireland. Located within the province of Connacht, it is named after the town of Roscommon. The population of the county is 58,768 according to the 2006 census. Roscommon is the 11th largest of the 32 counties in area, the fifth least-populous county in Ireland and has the second least population density after Leitrim. It is the third largest of Connacht’s five counties in size and fourth largest in terms of population. The county borders every other Connacht county, including Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim. In 2008 a news report said that statistically, Roscommon has the longest life expectancy of any county on the island of Ireland. Lough Key in north Roscommon is noted for having thirty-two islands.

'Fabulous Music, both Original and Traditional, a range of international beers, both bottle and draught, wines by the glass, freshly ground coffee and home-made cakes as well as FREE Wi-Fi are just some of the delightful offerings at the newly re-opened JJ’s at The Square, Roscommon'. Roscommon’s oldest traditional bar is now Roscommon’s newest venue as JJ Harlow’s, The Square, Roscommon, reopens under new management. When Caitlín McConn and Brian Mugan open the doors of the new JJ Harlow’s, the traditional bar and snugs beloved of many Roscommon citizens will have retained all their charm, but the experience offered in JJ’s will include a range of international beers, including Roscommon-brewed Galway Hooker, Belgian beer, German weiss beer, organic beer and much more. A range of interesting wines is also on offer by the glass at JJ Harlow’s. Freshly brewed coffee, home-made cakes, free internet access and finger food on Friday and Saturday nights are just some of the offerings you can look forward to in the newly re-opened JJ Harlow’s. Caitlín McConn and Brian Mugan are the duo behind the new JJ’s. Caitlín, from Old Circular Road, has vast experience in the bar industry, having worked in The Huntsman in Galway for the past three years, as well as other bars. Meanwhile Brian’s background is in sales and the Ballymurray native also has experience in the bar industry. Future plans for JJ’s include movie and theatre nights, as well as special race nights. JJ Harlow’s is one of the town’s most charming bars. The old bar area to the front of the premises is a delightful old-style bar, having retained the bar and wooden floor of the original premises, which is over 100 years old. The middle bar features a lovely open fire area, while the back bar features a giant screen for all sports events, as well as pool and darts. JJ’s also offers a pour-your-own-pint table as well as a covered and heated smoking area. International flavour to ales at JJ Harlow’s Visit JJ Harlow’s, which re-opens and indulge in internationally acclaimed beers in the charming setting of Roscommon’s oldest traditional bar, now the town’s newest venue. A range of international beers, both bottle and draught, wines by the glass, freshly ground coffee and home-made cakes are just some of the delightful offerings at the newly re-opened JJ’s at The Square, Roscommon. Whether you decide on a delicious wine, available by the glass, delight in freshly ground coffee or just enjoy a Roscommon-brewed beer such as Galway Hooker, or interesting alternatives such as Old Speckled Hen, Staropramen, and JJ’s house lager, then JJ’s is the perfect place to relax with friends. The international ales at JJs are well worth sampling. The newly re-opened bar offers English ales, Belgian beers, German weiss beers and a range of non-alcoholic beers. “Something we want to encourage is responsible drinking. We want people to enjoy different ales and a new drinking experience,” said Brian. Irish craft beers, such as Galway Hooker, which is brewed in Roscommon; Dungarvan Beer Co., Headless Dog and O’Hara’s will also be available at JJ’s. Organic beers are another novel feature at JJ Harlow’s. If you’re in town with junior and want to meet a friend for coffee, why not meet in JJ Harlow’s, which offers baby changing facilities? Alternatively, if you want to surf the net while in town, remember that there is free internet access in JJ’s. JJ’s, which is open from 12 noon every day, is comprised of three bars areas, each of which offers a different experience. For example, the traditional bar to the front of the premises, which boasts the original bar counter and floor is a lovely place to relax, or if you’re looking for a more intimate and cosy area, check out Roscommon’s only snugs to the front of the bar area. The middle bar area is another great place to meet friends, offering a chance to sit at the bar counter or in front of the open fire and remember, if you want to pour your own pint, you and your friends can book the pour your own pint table. As Roscommon’s newest venue, management Caitlín McConn and Brian Mugan intend to offer an eclectic mix of music, everything from trad to jazz and watch out for special race nights at JJ’s. JJs also has an expanded stage area in the back bar, with a new PA system coming soon. All premiership and major sporting fixtures will be broadcast on the giant screen at the rear of the premises. The warm, relaxed atmosphere of this character-filled listed building is ideal for a get-together with friends, whether it be an engagement party, a special birthday or a post-wedding get-together with friends.
