Dr Sahar is joined in Portlaoise by Dr. Roohina Haroon who has been in Ireland for 15 years and has her membership from ROCG and has worked in various hospitals in Ireland. Dr Sahar presents Health Educational Programmes for Senior Women’s Groups, Public Employers of Women, Community Groups and Second Level Schools that raises the awareness and importance of women empowering themselves with informed choices for their own health. The key presentation on a range of subjects is followed by an Question and Answers session and an engaging open discussion to discuss the value of differing approaches to women’s health services. These health programmes can be a 2 hour session or a weekly hour session over 6 weeks.

Rathdaire Lake/Derries Walks. The Derries Woods are located opposite the Church of Ireland outside Ballybrittas Village on the Rath/Fisherstown Road. This wood covers an area of c.1000 acres and consists of undulating peat, with the woodland made up of conifer and broadleaf native trees. A lovely woodland walk along by Rathdaire lake following many gentle forestry tracks. Choose from many walks ranging from 3.5km - 9km. Car park located at the forestry entrance beside the church. All walks are marked out with maps on posts throughout the route. On your circuit you are almost certain to see many wildlife including fallow deer, swans, ducks, pheasants, hedgehogs, foxes and even red squirrels. The Derries/Rathdaire Lake is among the most unspoilt and least explored area of Laois. Life moves very slowly in this beautiful forest and lake. Explore the wonderful unspoilt forest pathways at your own pace or challenge yourself to a 9km (Walk 2) marked out in “blue” taking in the lake en route.
