Mullingar Opticians
Siobhan McManus, F.A.O.I., originally from Mullingar, returned to her home town after gathering extensive experience in Dublin and London and opened Mullingar Opticians in 2003 followed by Enfield Opticians in 2006 and most recently a new facility in Ballymahon in 2009.
Along with colleague, Cliona McCormack, F.A.O.I., who has a wealth of experience under her belt, Siobhan covers the three practices in Meath, Longford and Westmeath. Working closely with Siobhan and Cliona are the front of house staff Michelle in Enfield and Aine, Marie and Edel in Mullingar and Ballymahon.
All our staff offer excellent customer service which is second to none. Great care is taken with every patient on each frame selection, dispensing of lens type and final fitting.
We pride ourselves on keeping up to date on all aspects of the optical world from the clinical to the fashionable. Mullingar Opticians recently took delivery of a Fundus Camera, this is the latest technology for the Testing room allowing us to keep a photographic record of the back of the eye. This is invaluable especially for patients who have eye problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, glaucoma, macular degeneration or indeed any patient who has a family history of eye disease.
We stock an extensive range of frames from the top designers including Prada, Gucci, Armani, Maxmara, Police to name but a few. We also have a fabulous fashionable top quality budget range. Everyone’s budget is catered for without losing out on quality and service.
A wide range of children’s frames are also stocked, embracing colour and fun, and many come free with the HSE prescription or voucher.
We have a very good selection of frames completely covered for those with medical card approval.
Along with eye tests, thanks to modern contact lens technology, we also cater for contact lens wearers from as young as eight years old. Special attention is given to aftercare and all contact lens wearers are given a free annual contact lens check-up.
