Limerick Craft & Design is an exciting new venture for a group of local crafters and designers. This pop-up shop is part of the innovative scheme Creative Limerick, a Limerick City Council led project that aims to reinvigorate the city centre with creative spaces. It aims to revitalise the streets of Limerick while offering small businesses a fantastic opportunity to flourish.
Limerick Craft and Design is made up of 35 artisans either based in, from, or educated in Limerick. Together they will show the vibrant creative culture that has been growing here over the past several years. The shop will offer small businesses a chance to profile their work, while at the same time letting local people see the talent they may not have discovered before.
There will be a wide range of craft and design available in the shop; stained glass, ceramics, photography, painting, illustration, fashion, millinary, knitwear, felting, jewellery, and much more.
We just confirmed the venue for this exciting new project as 4 Sarsfield Street, Limerick, which most people will remember as Miss Selfridge. The shop is currently under construction and we hope to have it open by the middle/end of July.
