Limerick is top dog when it comes to sporting spectacle and proof of this is the crowds attracted by the state of the art Greyhound Racing Stadium.
A night at the dogs provides live, adrenaline pumped entertainment. Top class facilities ensure it is comfortable to watch the action from inside and out. There is live racing on Friday and Saturday evenings. Gates open at 6.30pm; the first race is at 7.45pm. All sorts of occasions are catered for such as family occasions, team nights, corporate nights, hen/stag parties and fundraisers for non-profit organisations. The outdoor viewing area is floodlit and sheltered from the elements. The hospitality facilities are also exceptional. People can dine in The Leger Restaurant or in one of the two private Suites, while enjoying panoramic views of the racing action. There are four course set menus available as well as finger food packages and deals of the month. There is also a fast food facility on site.
There are two bars. The Mezz Bar, so-called because it is located on the mezzanine level-provides a more relaxed and informal racing experience. The Markets Field Bar on the ground floor is a nod to the former home of Limerick greyhound racing from 1932 to 2010.
Tote booths are strategically placed throughout the stadium. There is ample car parking available.
