CCE Leixlip
Fáilte go leathanach Chraobh Bheartla Uà Fhlatharta, Leixlip.
The Leixlip branch was formed in 1981 and has been active during those years passing on the tradition to young and old alike. Our tutors provide tuition across a range of instruments including fiddle, accordion, flute, concertina, banjo and tin whistle. Classes in sean-nós dancing are also provided. All our tutors are either former pupils of the branch or respected musicians in their own right. In addition to the weekly classes, young people get an opportunity to participate in céili bands and grupaà cheoil. We are fortunate as a branch that our musicians, as well as our bands and groups have achieved huge success in the Fleadh and in various other competitions. Our most satisfying achievement however, is seeing pupils, both past and present, playing and performing, enjoying the music and passing their knowledge onto others. The branch hosts many social events throughout the year such as sessions, concerts and trips away.
This page will be updated regularly to keep you informed of branch activities. You can also access information from www.cceleixlip.com. The website will be developing over the next few weeks so please bear with us.
