An Post Cycling
At An Post we have a strong track record of supporting Irish cycling at every level from grassroots to the very top of the sport.
Since 2007 we have supported elite young professional Irish riders at international level as sponsor of the Sean Kelly Cycling Team at the Belgium based Sean Kelly Academy.
From 2009, leisure cycling received a massive growth in interest from the An Post Cycle Series. The series of community cycling initiatives promotes participation amongst people of all ages and abilities. Last year over 10,000 people took part in five events across the country sponsored by An Post and the Irish Sports Council.
This year is An Post’s first year as title sponsor of Ireland’s premier and most celebrated cycling race, the Rás. The An Post Rás is an annual eight-day stage cycling race around Ireland, which will take place from May 22nd -29th, 2011. It is one of Ireland’s top sporting events bringing world class sporting action and a significant economic boost to towns and villages nationwide.
An Post is involved in National Bike Week each year and supported the Tour of Ireland from 2007 to 2009.
