Drogheda Ladies Basketball Club is the only all girls basketball club in the Drogheda/ East Meath area. The club caters for girls from 8 years upwards. We have three teams currently competing in the North East League at U14, U16 and U18 levels. We are currently recruiting for a senior team (18 yrs upwards) for next season.

Drogheda Lightning, offers the population of Drogheda and the Greater Louth & Meath Area the chance to participate in the Sport of American Football. We offer a real chance to join one of Ireland's fastest growing sports either as a player or Coach We are the Drogheda Lightning American Football Club , DV8 champions in 2012 and with boasting two of Ireland's most experienced coaches Mr Russell Kerley & Mr Eoin O Sullivan our aim is to promote the sport in Drogheda and the greater Louth & Meath Area. We have a youth team led by our youth coaches Mr Richard Tinley & Mr Ross Neville, to facilitate players from age 16 to age 19 yrs and a senior team that facilitates players aged 18 yrs + We offer people regardless of age fitness ability or strength a wonderful opportunity to part of something special. New players are always welcome and full training is provided by our very experienced coaches.

Our club was re-established in 2005 and has grown from strength to strength over the past few years. We run the club so that is dedicated to its members, coaching staff and most importantly it players. Our aim is not only to build great basketball players but we also aim to help develop and encourage every child. We work hard to develop our young players and we strive to ensure that every child enjoys their time with us. We cater for boys from 5 years to 18 years old and also have a Men's team.
