Donnybrook Lawn Tennis Club was established in 1893 and is one of Ireland's oldest tennis clubs. Its playing facilities include 8 floodlit artificial grass courts situated in the heart of Donnybrook, Dublin 4. The Club has a proud tradition of league success at the junior, senior and veteran levels. Its junior development programme is renowned for producing players of national and international standard. Every year the Club plays host to some of Ireland's premier tennis events. Foremost among these is the Irish Close Tennis Championships. While the Club continues to excel in competition, its primary focus is, and has always been, social tennis. From club nights to morning clinics, a busy and varied schedule of social tennis events is maintained throughout the year for adult and junior members of all standards.
