Open since the 1980's, O'Briens Farm Shop has been supplying the best of local produce at the best prices. Specializing in potatoes, selling all the main varieties grown in the on site farm, including the infamous Golden Wonders and Roosters. Also selling the best of in season produce including apples and vegetables through out the year. Jams, jellies and honey all made by local producers are sold all year round. In 2003, O'Briens Farm Shop founder and owner Pat O'Brien, played a significant role in the setting up of the local weekly Cahir Farmers Market. And the shop has had a stall there since then. The market takes place every Saturday from 9 to 1 in the Castle Street Car Park.
