The Academy offers courses in hairdressing, part-time, full-time, day release and evening.
The courses currently offered at the Academy are :
• Level 2 IVQ Diploma in Hairdressing (part-time and full-time)
• Level 2 IVQ Diploma in Barbering (part-time)
• Level 3 IVQ Advanced Diploma in Hairdressing - enables students to
pursue a teaching career, (part-time)
• One-day a week Cutting Course, Ladies Hair (Mon - Thurs), duration depends on result of admission assessment.
• One-week summer schools – Introduction to Hairdressing as a
Career, June, July and August.
20 week Barbering Course (ongoing) Accredited by City and Guilds
The Academy now operates as an Open Salon so that the students have the opportunity to work with clients. Also offered at the Academy are one-day seminars and courses for qualified hairdressers, in Advanced Cutting, Colouring, Barbering, Upstyling, Hair Extensions and Business Courses. These courses are run by award winning hair stylists from across the country and abroad. The Academy is a fully equipped venue centre where hairdressing organisations and companies can run conferences, courses and other such events.
