Group of Born Again Christian believers meeting weekly for Bible study / prayer/ worship and outreach to the Community. Childrens club every monday at Mcc huts. Summer Camp in July. Door to Door outreach every friday - Meetings are at Mcc every tues at 730pm All welcome! - sunday mornings 11am from October Mahon (Irish: Machain) is an area to the south-eastern side of Cork, Ireland with a population of 13,006. Mahon gets its name from Lough Mahon, a wide stretch of the upper section of Cork Harbour. It was once a peninsula of lush green fields and estates but in recent years has seen many developments. The area was generally known as the Ring of Mahon, this coupled with the presence of Ringmahon House (formerly occupied by Mr.James Murphy (Murphy's Brewery) and later by Mr.Ben Dunne (Dunnes Stores)) Mahon is located in a central position in the greater Cork area with the South Ring Road running along its eastern and southern edges and entering the Jack Lynch Tunnel under the River Lee. The road gives easy access to Cork Airport as well as Cork City Centre. The area is mainly residential with housing estates packed densely throughout. It is home to the Mahon Point Shopping Centre which is Cork's biggest shopping centre and retail park. The industrial area has major employers such as the Central Statistics Office, Project Management, Webprint and RCI Mahon Community Church is a group of local believers from various local Christian church backgrounds who come together every week to pray worship and study word - the team of people are involved in local outreach and evengelisim - door to door sharing of Gods word and testimony. Also Childrens weekly clubs and summer Camp - The leaders are Charles Ward who has lived in the area with his family since 1989 - and Catherine Campion who has run the childrens work and Summer club at the Mahon community centre for several years assisted by local volunteer Louise Blake - MCC is non profit and has no source of funding other than from the team members.
