Chopan Pizza & Charcoal Grill officially opened its doors in Unit 1, Brecan House, Main Street Balbriggan on 20th of June, 2012. If we could sum up our cuisine in two words, they would be = serious + food. The name, ‘Chopan’ derived from one of the owner’s favourite eateries in his hometown.
We have quite a specific focus; to restore the reputation of authentic burgers, kebabs and pizza prepared in a fast-food environment.
We sought to reintroduce burgers as being well-presented whilst nutritious as opposed to greasy and unhealthy.
We aspired to return the meagre and much maligned kebab back to the meal that it represents across the Middle East.
Finally, we hoped to bring a new distinct style to pizza making where the customer could decide the particulars of each base and toppings.
Chopan can be a place where people go at their convenience.
To ensure the upmost quality we swear by 3 rules:
1. We only buy quality ingredients from reputable suppliers. The finest international dishes require the best ingredients, so all our ingredients come from reputable, quality and wherever possible, local suppliers and we insist on the highest standard for you.
2. We serve the best cuts of prime meat. The most common complaint people have with kebabs is the poor quality meat. You wouldn’t like to know what’s in it – believe me! Consequently our kebabs are made using the best quality lamb and the same goes for any other meat dishes.
3. Everything is hand-made in store, including our bread. We prepare everything by hand for you following strict sanitary guidelines. And that includes our bread called Naan that you all adore so much. We’ll admit it takes longer but the reward is freshness and flavour.
