Bagenalstown Credit Union Ltd
Bagenalstown Credit Union Ltd was founded in 1970.
The first meeting took place in the McGrath Memorial Hall on October 19th 1970 and so Bagenalstown Credit Union came into being. The following were elected:

Treasurer: Noel Lynch
Secretary: Connie Kidd
Directors: Mary Brennan, Tony Dalton, Molly Sheehan R.I.P., Jim Keegan R.I.P., Stephanie Cox, Tom Doyle R.I.P., Bertie Walsh R.I.P., Cecil Lynch R.I.P., Noel Farrell, Paddy O’Rourke R.I.P., Paddy Tully.
Supervisory Committee: Tony Dalton, Joe Feely and Des Quinn R.I.P.
Not having a permanent residence meetings were held in Toye’s, Regent St. Quinn’s of Bachelors Walk, Brennan’s of High St., Keenan Bros offices and the County Council Offices.
Eventually in 1975, a premises was purchased from Tony Carton which became Credit Union House in High Street.
2007 marked the completion of our premises on Main St and we opened for business there on Feb 27th 2007.
Today Bagenalstown Credit Union Ltd serves the financial needs of over 8,500 members. Members’ savings have grown to over €37.5m with loans to members standing at over €18.7m
