From humble beginnings Arklow United Football Club's schoolboy/girl section has become one of the fastest growing across the entire Wicklow and District Schoolboy / Girl League, with year on year continual growth in our playing membership, and an increase in teams participating in WDSL competition. The Club is mindful of the economic times we are in and endeavours to provide a platform for all to play and enjoy their football. The gate is always open and new players are always welcome. We have a fabulous Arklow United Nippers Academy which goes from strength to strength on a weekly basis. The hour-long Saturday morning sessions are massively popular with Arklow's young boys and girls, all keen to take their first steps into proper organised football on United's superb astroturf facility, and now the Club have launched the new Nippers Academy kit which is effectively free to all who participate in the ten week programme. The kit which contains shorts, socks and a club crested shirt with Nippers emblazoned on the back costs just €20 - which is the price of ten weekly sessions in the Academy! The Nippers Academy kicks off at 11am every Saturday morning. Arklow United Football Club Schoolboys / Girls are delighted to create this Facebook page for all our members and all our friends - people associated with the Club in years gone by will hopefully drop in to see our progression from time to time, and new friends are always welcome.
