All finishers are awarded a bronze medal, but those seeking an extra challenge can try for the silver or gold standard. Balbriggan Cricket Club was founded in 1961 and has steadily progressed through the grades and in 2013 the club will be playing in Division 2 of Leinster Cricket. 2012 was without doubt the clubs greatest ever year with the 1st team winning Division 3, the senior 2 cup and reaching the final of the National Cup. The 2nd team won promotion to Division 7 and the club entered a third team which was made up of some promising youngsters. The underage set up in Balbriggan is thriving and Friday evenings are a hive of activity in Balbriggan Town Park when underage coaching takes place. Kids from 6 years up can come along and experience cricket and will learn how to play the game with our experienced coaches. Thurles Cricket Club was founded in November 2010 to help promote and advance understanding of the game in the area. Since 2012, we’ve been playing in the Munster Cricket Union (MCU). One of our members, Aaron Cawley, is currently in the Ireland U13 Squad. He is also in the Munster U13 Squad. Other members who play or have played for Munster representative teams are Ronan Kennedy (at U15 level), John Kelly Jnr (at U13 & U15 level) and Sean Cawley, Munster Development team. We want to encourage anyone, male or female, of any age that has a genuine interest in learning the game and would like to play it to the highest level possible to come join us and help us grow into a club we can all be proud of. we are a local dart team started 2007 in our first summer league and never looked back we compete in tipperary darts league in the winter and Cahir and district league in the summer always up for the crack and love to play darts with two finals where we ran out runners up in 2011-2012 it only forwards from here so watch this space !!!!!!!!!

We offer a real chance to join one of Ireland's fastest growing sports either as a player or Coach We are the Drogheda Lightning American Football Club , DV8 champions in 2012 and with boasting two of Ireland's most experienced coaches Mr Russell Kerley & Mr Eoin O Sullivan our aim is to promote the sport in Drogheda and the greater Louth & Meath Area. We have a youth team led by our youth coaches Mr Richard Tinley & Mr Ross Neville, to facilitate players from age 16 to age 19 yrs and a senior team that facilitates players aged 18 yrs + We offer people regardless of age fitness ability or strength a wonderful opportunity to part of something special.
