Originally founded in 1904 as part of The Railway and Steampacket Athletic and Sports Union, Railway Union Hockey Club is one the oldest in Dublin. We have 6 ladies teams and 5 mens teams as well as an active vets (over35s) section (both men's and ladies) and a thriving youths section. We have enjoyed many successes in the past and continue to enjoy many successes in the present!! Our men's and ladies 1st teams currently hold 5 cups between them. The ladies are the current Irish Senior Cup, Jackie Potter Cup and the Irish Hockey League Champions. While the men are the current Neville Cup and Indoor Hockey Champions. We have several representative players among our members which include current Irish Squad members, Emma Smyth, Alex Spears and Grace O'Flanagan. We are not just all hockey, hockey, hockey though.... we also enjoy many social events which include an annual mixed 6-A-Side tournament, Pub Crawl, Christmas party and of course the ever enjoyable end of season dinner & Awards night! These along with other social nights be they clubwide or just within your team make for a fun,enjoyable and social atmosphere within the club. This is helped by the fact that we boast having a recently refurbished Clubhouse with a bar and function hall.
