OBJECTIVES
To encourage more people to spend more time and more money in Ashbourne.To engage with community groups and individuals for the benefit of all.
To encouragenew businesses in Ashbourne and so offer the consumer ever increasing choice and variety.
To enhance the streets and environs of Ashbourne by making it attractive to spend time in and offering a quality experience.
To market the town of Ashbourne and the brand.
STRATEGY
Promote the brand of Ashbourne
Association with Tidy Towns Committee and encourage efforts for greater awareness of the aesthetics
Promote the historical aspects of Ashbourne
Engage with tourism activities to help market the town and encourage visitors
Establishment of a unique festival or annual event
Co-operate with community organisations i.e. Chamber, local sports clubs.
Engage with government departments to secure funding for activities and improved infrastructure.
To have a vision for Ashbourne which promotes sustainability and provides a
blueprint for regeneration
TACTICS
Promotion – website, logo, shop stickers, support local organisations, links to community groups, PR . (sub-committee)
Combine efforts with Tidy Towns and Historical associations (sub-committees)
Tourism agenda required (sub-committee)
Acquire funding. Meath Partnership / Meath Leader (Ashbourne Community Initiative)
Liase with Meath County Council on infrastructure
