Cashel Lions Club is a proud member of the world-wide Lions Club network, which serves people in a voluntary capacity. Cashel Lions Club was established in January 1961 and we celebrated our 50th Anniversary at our Charter Night in 2011. Our organisation serves the community of Cashel and surrounding districts such as Dualla, Ballinure, Rosegreen, Golden, Knockavilla, Dundrum and Boherlahan in a variety of ways. We have an annual programme of local activities and events such as the “Senior Citizens Party”, the “Cashel Person of the Year Award” and the “Corby Bursary”. We also undertake events as part of the global Lions Club network such as the “Young Ambassador of the 21st Century Award”, the “Third World Fast”, “Operation Christmas Child”, and the “Peace Poster Competition”. For the last two years the Cashel recipient of the “Young Ambassador of the 21st Century Award” has won the regional final, and represented the club at the national final in Dublin . We rely on the tireless voluntary work of our members and appreciate all help and assistance the local business community has extended to us over the years. We also rely on donations to support our work and anyone who wishes to contribute to the Club can do so by contacting our Secretary at secretary@cashellionsclub.ie. We are always on the look out for new members so if you would like to learn more about Cashel Lions Club and the work we do get in contact with us.
