But Ireland is full of surprises and the story of The Weaver's Inn goes back quiet a while. It seems faith took a hand in 1973 when Paul Higgins, then 19, along with his cousin decided to see the world. They stuck a pin in the map and landed on Indonesia- where in a small town called Bandung in western Java, Paul spotted the beautiful Nenang walking through the park. Love won out and after three years of writing to one another Nenang came to Ireland and they married.

Mellett's Emporium is an Olde World Bar that has been in the Mellett Family since 1797. Relax in front of our roaring fire, watch a match on our big screens or enjoy a drink 'al fresco' in our large beer garden.
