Dualla Show
The 2013 Dualla Show will take place on Sunday the 1st of September. This year show will be the biggest yet with more events and exhibits than ever before.
The natural amphitheatre in which the event takes place makes it a beautiful show ground in a wonderful setting. Almost five thousand people turned up to the show last year. Funds were raised for three beneficiaries: Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin, the National Council for the Blind of Ireland and Scoil Chormaic, Cashel.
This Year's Show
The programme for this year has all the regular events and displays with many new additions. The livestock show, horse show, sheep show and Gymkhana are back with more classes than ever before.
The Sonic the Hedgehog hot air balloon will be on display for all and will be a wonderful focal point in the beautiful setting we have. In addition, all the usual kids activities will be back including FREE bouncy castles. There will also be face painting, pony rides and even an magician on site for the day!
Back again this year is the tractor pull. This has been a huge attraction the past few years and provides a great spectacle.
The cornerstone of the Dualla Show is the vintage displays. As usual the Threshing Machine will be on site doing its business and there will be a sizeable vintage car and tractor display.
A popular event in recent years is the dog show. Competitors have been coming from far and wide for this event and this year promises to be the most competitive yet.
Many other events include a baking competition (sponsored by Odlums), off-road buggy track racing, turnip pulping competition and a model plane display.
