The 2013 Dualla Show will take place on Sunday the 1st of September. This year show will be the biggest yet with more events and exhibits than ever before. The natural amphitheatre in which the event takes place makes it a beautiful show ground in a wonderful setting. Almost five thousand people turned up to the show last year. Funds were raised for three beneficiaries: Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin, the National Council for the Blind of Ireland and Scoil Chormaic, Cashel. This Year's Show The programme for this year has all the regular events and displays with many new additions. The livestock show, horse show, sheep show and Gymkhana are back with more classes than ever before. The Sonic the Hedgehog hot air balloon will be on display for all and will be a wonderful focal point in the beautiful setting we have. In addition, all the usual kids activities will be back including FREE bouncy castles. There will also be face painting, pony rides and even an magician on site for the day! Back again this year is the tractor pull. This has been a huge attraction the past few years and provides a great spectacle. The cornerstone of the Dualla Show is the vintage displays. As usual the Threshing Machine will be on site doing its business and there will be a sizeable vintage car and tractor display. A popular event in recent years is the dog show. Competitors have been coming from far and wide for this event and this year promises to be the most competitive yet. Many other events include a baking competition (sponsored by Odlums), off-road buggy track racing, turnip pulping competition and a model plane display.

Lucan Festival is a non for profit organisation developing a community festival for residents of Lucan, Adamstown and its environs, encompassing all groups, cultures, ages and local businesses.

The choir was established to encourage adults of all ages to get involved in singing. The choir welcomes all-comers, regardless of musical ability or experience. There are no auditions. The repertoire of the choir is mainly popular music from the 1950s up to the present day.

My name is Sean McNicholas. I am from Lucan, Co.Dublin and am 20 years old. I am appalled by the lack of societies and clubs in Dublin and Ireland for people with disabilities.People with disabilities have as much right to have fun, meet new people, make new friends and feel part of our community as everybody else. Today I had a meeting with the revenue and have asked about the possibility of creating a new charity. I hope to have a community service once a week in Dublin early next year 2012 and to have expanded to counties all over Ireland by the beginning of 2014. The cost of running a charity like this over 10 counties is 500000 a year. However the revenue have given me until Tuesday, November 1st to get as many volunteers to help with the running of this charity.
