Athlone Carpet Binding

Athlone Carpet Binding

At Athlone Carpet Binding, we provide a full service for all your carpet binding needs. Whether you are looking for your carpet off-cuts to be bound to use as mats, or to apply a luxurious rope effect binding to compliment a stair centre piece or hall runner, we can do it. We collect, cut, bind and delivery the carpet back to the customer in the Athlone/ Roscommon town area, all at competitive prices. The services we provide are as follows: Carpet binding: Sewing a tape from 3/4" to 3" to the edge of your carpet. Carpet Serging: Sewing a wool or synthetic yarn to the edge of your carpet Rope Binding: A synthetic 3 ply rope effect binding, applied by hand, ideal for something more eye catching or awkward shapes i.e. boats, stair landings. Availible in 23 colours at present. Carpet cove base: An alternative to traditional skirting boards on continental europe, this method involves cutting carpet into strips, binding one side and applying to the base of a room wall in which the same carpet has been fitted. This acts as a traditonal skirting board. The use of cove base makes the room area look bigger than it is, and proves more maintenance free, not easily marked by vacuum cleaners, shoes etc. A popular choice in hotels and B&B's, and also bedrooms and playrooms in the home. This can be applied by us or can be cut, bound and supplied with a self addhesive backing which can be installed by the home owner or DIY enthusiast. Anti-slip: A non-slip, cost effective spray added to the back of your mat or rug, which benefits include: - The only product on the market which guarantees your rug, mat or door mat from creeping or slipping - Can be used on any type of rug, mat or door mat to any floor surface - No rug size problems - Invisible - Leaves no residue on sub-floor, regardless of type - Rugs can be lifted repeatedly and repositioned as required Stair centre piece: Running a strip of carpet on your stairs, usually leaving 4" uncovered either side. This can be fitted with or without the use of stair rods. These are usually supplied by the store in which you purchased your carpet, or if not, we would be happy to help you find the right shape and shade at a price that suits your budget. Carpet stair threads: Instead of carpeting your full stair or using a centre piece, carpet stair threads are specific sizes of carpet , cut to cover your stair thread, which is the horzontal "step" part of your stairs. It is supplied with a self adhesive backing. The benefits include cost effectiveness, minimal purchase of carpet hence minimal waste, the option of purchasing a 'carpet end' from your local carpet store at increased discounts. Also the option of changing the look of your stairs more often.
