Carlow Town has been served by a Credit Union since March 1963. The original Credit Union operated out of rooms in the C.Y.M.S hall in College Street before moving to the Presentation Schools in Tullow Street. Sadly this location, which gave the Credit Union an opportunity to grow, is no longer in existence as it has been replaced with housing and shopping developments at Cathedral Close. In early 1966 the decision to purchase our present location was made and over the years many re-developments have taken place. The growth of the Credit Union in the early 1980’s resulted in the office undergoing major renovations and been transformed from a one room operation to the large offices currently in use.

Community Credit Union was formed on 1st January 2010 through the merger of Clonsilla and Premier Credit Unions. This was the first merger in Ireland of two substantial Credit Unions and puts us at the forefront in this area of the development of the Irish Credit Union Movement. All members of Community Credit Union enjoy: More choice of offices (Members can use the three offices located at Navan Road, The Blanchardstown Centre & Laurel Lodge) More services (All services are available in each office and others will be rolled out over the coming months) Better value for savings and loans (Operating very efficiently, we pass on these savings to our Members in our savings and loans products)

For people not for profit Enfield Credit Union is owned by its members who save with and borrow from it. As a member you will receive a dividend if declared, on your savings and you will have access to loans at a fair and resonable rate.

Denis spent 10+ years as Senior Financial Advisor and is a winner of numerous Merit Awards including taking the first Royal Liver group to the Million Dollar Round Table in California in 2004. Owen Cotter has studied Business Information Systems and Marketing at Cork Institute of Technology and is currently undertaking QFA exams. Baldoyle & Portmarnock Credit Union provides services to people that share the “common bond”. The common bond is defined as where you work, live or go to school. We offer many of the services of a bank but the difference is you, the member, are in control.
