It is an international literary society that has hosted students, lecturers and poets from Ireland, the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States of America, Asia, the Middle East, Oceania, Africa and the Americas. The Yeats International Summer School which was founded by the Society since 1960 is now in its 54th year.
