The pit for Charlestown Outdoor Swimming Pool was dug in 1968. Over the years the pool provided a welcome activity for so many people in Charlestown and the surrounding areas. As a result of climate change, we don't enjoy those beautiful summers of years ago and so we will now provide a heated facility for our communities. We owe it to those who have kept the pool going over the years, to our children and to ourselves to continue on this excellent tradition. So many of us are grateful for all the pool provided for us. Let's work together to keep it going.
