Longford Town is a football club founded in 1924, currently competing in the Airtricity League First Division. After many successful years competing in the Leinster Senior League, Longford Town joined the League Of Ireland in 1984. In 2003 they won the FAI Cup for the first time and followed that up with a FAI and League Cup double the following season.
