Recognised as the 'Best in Taste' seafood brand, Kenmare Select is the recipient of numerous awards; including Gold Medal at the Irish Food Awards 2011, Finalist at the Prix d'Elite 2011 and 10 Gold Stars at the Great Taste Awards 2010 - 2012.
Rémy Benoit, an award-winning chef, founded the company in 1991 once he developed the signature taste of Kenmare Select Smoked Salmon. We export over 90% and are specialised in the high-end value-added seafood niche with clients such as Caviar House Germany, Sofitel St. James, Seasoned Events (caterer for Cartier & the Henley Royal Regatta), Four Seasons Florence, Villa Serbelloni and a selection of Irish Embassies.
Kenmare Select remains 100% family-owned and is now run by the second generation, Cyprien Benoit. Cyprien was born in the former family restaurant in Kenmare, Remy's House, and has a passion for flavour combinations. He pioneered the Organic Salmon Smoked with Seaweed & Oak, the new flagship product cut in beautiful long slices by hand, and the company is looking to experiment with a new Organic or Sustainable fish in 2014.
